Sports day was for all children to enjoy both n0n-competitive sports in the morning, contrasting with a more traditional sports day in the afternoon. We celebrated Chinese New Year today. We looked at the story of the Zodiac and how each year became to be. We created lanterns, lucky red envelopes, and practised writing Chinese numbers in rice and with paint. We looked at dragon dancing and why they set off firecrackers. We certainly made the most of the snow at playtimes over the past week. Everyone was wrapped up warm and enjoyed building, rolling and playing with the snow. Some of the snowmen even lasted a few days.
Congratulation to the Credit Card tombola winners for this term. The lucky pair from each site have won a voucher for the Book House in Thame. For the first time ever a child was awarded a certificate and Book House voucher, for consistently demonstrating the school's values this term. Well done to all! [...]
