On Thursday 10th October Year 3 and 4 went on a school trip to Aylesbury Bucks Museum. We went and gathered in the Learning Zone. Then we were sent off to different rooms to do some activities. One room was a room of artefacts and weaving. In the other room there were a lot of paints so we could sketch something to do with the Stone Age to paint. Here are some objects we saw:

· Beakers – these are small pots with patterns on. We made our own using clay!

· Grand piano – this was an old Victorian instrument with many beautiful features on.

· Roman coins – Roman coins are the coins the Roman people used as money. They have very small patterns on them.

· Animals (replicas) – these were in the wildlife gallery. There were mammals, birds and species of butterflies and moths.

· Bronze sword – a sword from the Bronze Age. You were able to lift it up and feel its weight.

The oddest thing in the museum was possibly the robot.

A big thank you to Mrs Brogan, Mrs Burnham, Miss Borchart, Mrs Stockton and Mrs Clark for taking us on this trip.
