The ‘Land Army’ (aka Gardening Club), has been a tremendous team effort over a few term. The children are beginning to enjoy seeing their hard work paying off as crops and flowers begin to bloom.
In order to achieve RHS Level 1, the children and adults needed to understand the benefits of gardening. We had to identify and plan an area for the project, whilst understanding the potential hazards in the garden. The gardeners had to decide what they would like to grow and list the resources needed to achieve this. Photographic evidence and record keeping, of the whole process, was required to be able to achieve our Level 1 award.
This is just the start of our gardening journey, we will let you know how we get on in the future!
