This Remembrance Day we went to the Church of a special Family Service.  We had our regular family worship but, after the 2 minutes silence introduced by a real trumpet performance, a mystery visitor appeared:  A WWI solider from the cavalry with his horse Abby.  He wore spurs on his boots (they were real antiques and over 100 years old!). He took out a cavalry sword to show us and we all had an opportunity to ask questions and felt the weight of the Lee Enfield rifle.  It was quite heavy!  It was a magical experience and brought the World Wars to life.
