Some children from classes Y1 to Y4 were lucky enough to attend the annual Science Experience event run by Lord William’s School. The children had the opportunity to take part in a range of exciting science investigations. These included: visiting a planetarium, investigating which metal is best for a lemon battery, investigating oxygen in pond weed and the challenge – to make a marble run that slowed down a marble. The final activity was a competition – children were in pairs from their schools and had to design and create a marble run – the main challenge was that the marble had to complete the run in the slowest time.
Clearly, we have some amazing scientists and engineers at Cuddington and Dinton as Wilfred and Griff (from Y2 and Y1) won in their age group as did Tiago and Lucy H. Congratulations to all who went as they were all incredibly engaged and worked hard in all of the activities. Thank you to Mrs Clifton and Mrs Stockton for accompanying the children.
