Over the past two weeks Year 2 have been investigating absorbency. We identified absorbent materials and then focused on different types of paper. We predicted which we thought would be the best, and then used them to create tea bags. We tested them to find out which would absorb and hold the water without breaking. Our findings were that kitchen roll was the best and grease-proof paper was the worst as it didn’t absorb any water at all.
