Touch Rugby
On Tuesday the 15th October a team of year 5 and 6 played three rugby matches against Ickford, Thomas Hickmen and Bedgrove School. Sadly, we lost all of them but that did not affect the way we played!
First, we played against Ickford and we lost 3-1. Sofia, John, Eleri, Zac, Jack and Josh all played first for the first half of the game. In the second half we scored a tri but sadly that was not enough for us to win.
In the second match we played against Thomas Hickmen, we also lost against them but that didn’t bring us down. In the first half Jack slid but he did it near the tri line so he could just put the ball down! All of us did some amazing tackles, including running into the opposing team. There were loads of turnovers as well with the help of our incredible tackles.
In the final match we played against Bedgrove. Throughout the whole time we were there we did not make any forward passes in which was great!
Even though we didn’t win, again, we all played amazingly. During this match we did get some really good tries though.
