Verulamium Museum Roman Villa

On Wednesday 6th November, year 5 and 6 went to Verulamium Museum, we were split into groups.

Group one had lunch first while group two went to the mosaic room which had some interesting facts about Romans and how they built and ate! Next the groups switched and after that both groups watched a film clip about history of the Roman villa.

Later we walked around the museum to see the artifacts whilst some people sketched a scary mask! We then watched another video and looked at Roman artifacts and Theo, Darcey H, Oscar and Alice M dressed up as wealthy Romans!

We all had a great time, the only annoying thing was the 1 hour bus ride but we mostly had lots of fun!

It’s located in St. Albans by the River Ver. Did you know the Romans came to England 43 AD. Verulamium is one of the biggest cities conquered by the Romans and even Boudicca is part of the history of the area as she set the villa on FIRE!
